Jenn Frieler

Jenn is a Certified Professional Photographer, you can usually spot her with a camera in front of her face. Jenn graduated from Ridgewater College in Willmar in 2002 with a Professional degree in photography. In 2005 she received her Professional Photography Certification. She is a member of the Minnesota Professional Photographers Association and also a member of the Professional Photographers of America. Jenn is also a member of the Runestone Referrals chapter for BNI in Alexandria.

Away from the studio Jenn tries to spend as much time as she can with her friends and family many of which live further away.

Sarah Kerfeld

Sarah and Jenn took over the Meyers Photography Studio in February 2007. For the most part Sarah has been working "behind the scenes" but has been very valuable to the business and keeps the studio up and running.

Sarah also comes with as a 2nd photographer for weddings. She has been photographing weddings now for about 3 years, mostly photojournalism but also runs around to make sure everyone is where they need to be for pictures.

Away from the studio Sarah has a full-time job at Cabinet Components, and is very busy at home with her husband Jason and 3 children. Thank you Sarah for all the time you are able to give to us with such a busy life.

Tonya Frieler

Tonya attended the Art Institute of Minnesota so she comes to us with much creativity. She is in charge of all customer service, taking orders, and production. She is usually the person who greets you at the door with a smiling face. Many times you think she is Jenn, but take a 2nd look, Jenn and Tonya are sisters.  She is in charge of editing and retouching wedding portraits and working with Photoshop.  Tonya is a wonderful asset to the studio.

Becky Blenker

Becky joins our team with an Associate Degree in Interactive Media and Graphic Design. She will be in charge of all of our media, including website and marketing design.  She is familiar with the Adobe suite, including many skills in Photoshop. Becky also helps with any orders and production. We are happy to have her as a part of the team!

Courtney Schiffler

Courtney is currently attending Ridgewater College, in Willmar. She will be graduating with a degree in Photography.  We are very excited to have another photographer as part of our team. Courtney helps us whenever she can while attending school. Over the summer we will have her as an assistant photographer at weddings and also any other sessions that require help. She is also familiar with Photoshop, so she also helps us edit all of our sessions and wedding photos.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

The Unexpected... Fun! I’m not your typical, traditional portrait photographer. I really want you and your family to enjoy our time together. Because if you’re uncomfortable, how can we capture the real you?

For studio sessions, I will greet you at the door with a smile and possibly without shoes. Most of the time I won’t have make up on, and my hair in a pony tail. I find the uglier I look, the prettier you feel.

Don’t be surprised if I act like I am completely insane at some point, elmo is my best friend here! Whatever it takes to bring out their real expressions and feel relaxed...I’ll do it! Feel free to bring anything special you would like to see in the shots. A favorite blanket, a tattered teddy bear, fairy princess wings. I love to incorporate the special, little things that mean a lot to your family.

CLOTHING TIPS AND IDEAS

Sarah always has fantastic clothing ideas for large families, I like to call her our “Clothing Consultant”! If you would like ideas from her, please call us and we will get you in touch with her. Clothing most definitely plays an important role in the style of photography we create. We strongly suggest a clothing consultation prior to your photo shoot. Anyone who knows Sarah will say she has a blackbelt in shopping. Her love for fashion and all things hip almost equals her love of photography...but not quite!

We enjoy being involved in the wardrobe selection and have been known to shop with and even shop for our clients before a shoot. You don’t have to spend a fortune to look good, so feel free to involve us. I love it when a client shows up with several changes of clothes so feel free to bring a stuffed suitcase and let's play dress up!
